Additional Info

Dry Creek Turquoise comes from a mine near
the town of Austin, Lander County, NV. It has
a colorful history, having been first discovered
in the early 1990s by the Shoshone Native
American tribe. The mining rights were leased
out. As it found it's way into Native American
jewelry, the powdery blue turquoise with
brown matrix eventually gained considerable
favor. Miners in the know say that when the
Dry Creek vein is exhausted, turquoise of this
color will be gone forever. Maybe so, maybe not,
but even if not true, Dry Creek is not getting
more plentiful
. Buy now and enjoy in the future.
