For many years, Zuni carvers did not sign or take personal credit for the fetishes they carved. The objective of a carving had little to do with who did it. It was a "Pueblo" entity. As a result, we encounter occasional carvings that are unsigned and for which there is no carver attribution.

This Zuni eagle in dolomite is one of those. Its value and quality are not diminished by its anonimity
